Nakheel brings National Day celebrations to communities in Dubai

25th November 2013

Nakheel is gearing up to bring thousands of people together for National Day with a series of free, public events – starting on Thursday – to mark the 42nd anniversary of UAE independence.

The events will take place at Palm Jumeirah, The Gardens and Jumeirah Village Triangle – three of Nakheel’s growing number of master-planned communities across Dubai.

The celebrations begin this Thursday, 28 November at Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah, while The Gardens and Jumeirah Village Triangle events are on Sunday, 1 December.   All three run from 4pm to 10pm.

Masood Al Zarooni, Managing Director of Nakheel Communities, said: “National Day is all about uniting people as a symbol of the spirit of the union of the UAE, and we look forward to celebrating this very special day at our communities.  Residents and the general public are all welcome to join us as we proudly mark 42 years of independence.”

Nakheel’s National Day celebrations will feature a host of free attractions reflecting traditional Arabic culture, including food with live cooking stations, dancing, henna, falcon displays and camel rides. Additional activities include face painting and children’s play areas.
