A young Emirati boy got more than he bargained for when his father took him shopping at Dragon Mart.
Instead of leaving the mall with the usual clothes, toys and children’s books, three year old Khalifa Humaid Al Suwaidi bagged a brand new Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited, courtesy of Nakheel.
Khalifa’s father, Humaid Jasim Al Suwaidi, had entered his entire family into a prize draw to win the AED160,000 prize, which was up for grabs to mark the opening of Dragon Mart 2, Nakheel’s newly-opened extension to the original Dragon Mart complex.
“I have been coming to Dragon Mart virtually every week since it opened in 2004,” said the proud father as he and Khalifa collected the Wrangler keys. “It’s so exciting that Khalifa won this amazing prize, although he’s a bit too young to appreciate it, and of course it will be another 15 years before he can actually drive it!”
However, all is not lost, for Nakheel presented Khalifa with a car that he can drive.
Omar Khoory, Director of Nakheel Retail, said: “We wanted to make sure that Khalifa’s young age didn’t stand in the way, so we bought him his very own ride on toy car to celebrate with.”
A second Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited was won by Leith Akil Hamoodi, after he entered a Nakheel Retail prize draw at Ibn Battuta Mall
