Nakheel Announces Emirates Precinct at International City

Nakheel, one of the world's largest and most innovative real estate developers, has launched Emirates, the tenth and final precinct to be added to the existing 9 precincts that make up the Residential District of International City.

Construction on the Emirates precinct began earlier this year, with the completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2009. Emirates will feature 856 studios and 756 one-bedroom units. In addition to the residential units, 52 units will be handed over for commercial use.

Engineer Rashid AL- Helli, Director of International City said:

International City began construction in 2003 and comprises of the Residential District that includes 387 buildings and the Central District that includes 34 plots that are currently under construction by private developers. Neighboring developments include the Dragon Mart Complex and Al Warsan Lake.
