A True Taste of Authentic Arabian Culture at Ibn Battuta Mall this Ramadan
Dubai, 26 August 2009
Ibn Battuta Mall is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan with a host of traditional entertainment to delight the entire family.
Ibn Battuta Mall’s China Court will be transformed into a decorative Majlis, open for Iftar buffet from sunset. For only 75 Aed per person, families can enjoy a feast surrounded by a buzzing atmosphere of cultural activities including falconry displays, henna tattoo artists and a live oud player every evening.
From sundown each Friday and Saturday, Ibn and Friends will be treating shoppers to laban, the traditional refreshment to break fast.
To complete the Ramadan experience, Grand Cinemas is running Journey to Mecca in IMAX. From 15th August onwards every evening at 3.30 and 9.30pm, shoppers are invited to enjoy the unique, historic and inspirational documentary that features a specially constructed set of Al-Masjid Al-Ḥaram (Great Mosque) with the Kaaba at its centre
Commenting on the host of entertainment activities, Bernice Boshoff, General Manager, Ibn Battuta Mall said:
“As with every Ramadan here in Ibn Batutta Mall, we are delighted to be offering an exciting array of authentic activities for our valued customers whether local, expatriate residents or tourists. In a cosmopolitan region like the Middle East, the need to be aware of the differences between the many cultures that prevail is especially important. We are particularly excited to be showcasing Journey to Mecca which will provide the opportunity for shoppers to learn about culture, its traditions and customs, an integral characteristic of our mall.”
