Its bespoke villas, designed by a selection of world-renowned architects, blend cutting-edge design with a strong sense of place.
Within reach of Dubai’s beating heart, but with a serenity and spirit all its own, Palm Jebel Ali from developer Nakheel, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, promises to offer an enticing new lifestyle. This exclusive new island sanctuary in the city’s southern district will bring private neighbourhoods with design-led residences, and promote an active, outdoors-focused way of life.
To create The Beach Collection of bespoke beachfront villas on the island, Nakheel has collaborated with six world-renowned architectural firms: WATG from the US; SAOTA from South Africa; and from Dubai, Whitespace Architects, NAGA Architects, LOCI, and LW Design Group. Each has responded to the island’s unique position between sea and city, and the colours and forms that define its landscape.
The five- and six-bedroom villas range from 7,300 to 8,500 square feet, and while each has its own distinct character and a unique contemporary façade, all have grand, double-height entryways and expansive living spaces that maximise natural light and tranquil sea views. Indoor-outdoor flow and a strong connection to nature are integral to the villas, promoting a feeling of well-being and a strong sense of place. The interiors combine a sophisticated aesthetic with a design-led approach and high-end, luxurious finishes.
The Baia Luna and Crystal Springs villas by WATG are characterised by their modern, clean-lined architecture, their balance of classical elegance, and contemporary design statements. From SAOTA, the Ocean Whisper and Bluejay villas reflect the colours of the desert in their palette of soft sand tones; the waves of the ocean in the subtle curves incorporated into their design; and the dynamism of Dubai in their contemporary design language.
The Indigo Ocean residences by Whitespace Architects blend sustainable materials and energy-efficient design features with a luxurious yet soft, neutral aesthetic. From NAGA Architects, the Cyan Sky, Blue Horizon, and Pacific Breeze villas capture the essence of an island lifestyle in their open, flowing interiors that are infused with light and a feeling of calm and ease.
From local firm LOCI, the Cobalt villas draw deeply on the spirit of the region, with a choice of materials that reflect the characteristics of the area, and vernacular details such as screens that both root the villas within their location and provide natural privacy and shading. Finally, LW Design’s Wave Crest villas have a choice of three themes: Nature, with warm timber tones and natural stone; Contemporary, characterised by bold contrasts and refined materials; and White, with a neutral palette that enhances the effect of natural sunlight.
Beyond the walls of the villas, the neighbourhoods that populate Palm Jebel Ali will foster connection and wellness, with pedestrian-friendly streets filled with fragrant greenery, top-class sports facilities and leisure amenities, and verdant parks leading to the beach; all surrounded by the azure depths of the Arabian Gulf.
“With its breathtaking oceanfront views and ambitious vision, Palm Jebel Ali has inspired some of the world’s leading architectural minds to design bespoke masterpieces for The Beach Collection,” says Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate. “These unique villas embody luxury, sophisticated design and a seamless connection with nature, a testament to the success of our collaboration, showcasing the individual brilliance of each architect, while capturing the essence of this extraordinary destination. This collaboration brings to life our vision for exceptional homes that cater to inspired tastes and lifestyles.” Discover more.
